Wedding outfits in Fields of Mistria are free, event-exclusive clothing provided during your own marriage ceremony. On the morning of the wedding you are escorted to the guest room of The Sleeping Dragon Inn, where the wardrobe opens the full character customization screen with dresses, tuxedos, shoes, veils, and accessories. According to the Fields of Mistria Wiki, you permanently keep every outfit you select, even after the wedding is over.

How to Unlock the Wedding Wardrobe

The full marriage route arrived in v1.0.0, building on the Romantic and Best Friend routes that have existed since v0.14.0. Romance is only possible with villagers marked as "single" in their Social tab, and every candidate offers both route types. Reaching the wedding scene requires the complete engagement sequence:

  • choose Dating during a candidate's Eight Heart event;
  • raise the relationship to 10 Hearts while dating;
  • sleep, then let Elsie deliver the Engagement Ring recipe the next morning;
  • craft the Engagement Ring at the Forge and use its unique "Discuss" prompt on your partner;
  • finalize the proposal and select a wedding date.

The wiki notes that the Engagement Ring recipe needs a material from level 90 of The Mines, and that this is the only progression-related limitation to marriage, since farmhouse upgrade levels are not required. Learning the recipe also triggers the in-game Marriage tutorial. A firsthand playthrough report measured the ring craft at 30 in-game minutes with a displayed sale value of 3,000 Tesserae.

Elsie hands over a recipe rather than a finished ring, and the proposal scene itself is low pressure. Each candidate presents a special unique spouse item before the proposal option appears, and you may postpone the proposal during the cutscene. This means you can date every candidate, watch all of their proposal events, and only commit to the one you actually want to marry.

Where You Choose the Outfit: The Inn's Guest Room

You never shop for wedding clothes anywhere in Mistria. When you wake up on the scheduled date, the entire day plays out as a semi-interactive cutscene that escorts you to The Inn's guest room to get dressed. Elsie coordinates the wedding wardrobe there, and the room opens the character customization interface rather than a purchase menu.

A firsthand playthrough describes the east guest room as the getting-ready space, with the future spouse preparing separately so their finished outfit stays hidden until the ceremony. You do not need to carry the Engagement Ring on the day, and you never have to reserve the venue or prepare the gazebo yourself. Townsfolk automatically handle the morning chores, with the wiki listing watering crops plus feeding and petting animals, and the playthrough specifically noting the animals were fed and watered.

Every Wedding Outfit and Accessory Listed

The dedicated wedding wardrobe is larger than a single dress or suit. One tested playthrough found the following options during the preparation sequence 待确认:

  • three wedding dresses;
  • three tuxedos;
  • two wedding shoe options;
  • veils;
  • a top hat;
  • Wedding Flower Clips with multiple color choices;
  • additional headwear and accessories;
  • multiple color options for the outfit pieces.

Treat the exact counts as a snapshot from one save, because the wiki does not yet itemize the wardrobe. What both sources confirm is the format itself: a selection of wedding outfits handed to you during the ceremony preparation, not items stocked at a shop or the Saturday Market. You also do not search Elsie's house or the Manor House for any of these pieces.

Are Fields of Mistria Wedding Outfits Free?

Yes. Nothing in the wedding wardrobe costs Tesserae, and no shop stocks the pieces before the ceremony. The outfits simply become available during the preparation sequence, which removes the classic worry of saving up for a dress before the big day.

You are also free to ignore the dedicated pieces entirely. The customization screen lets you wear a traditional wedding style, pick a different color, combine accessories, or style your character in completely regular clothes. Because chosen outfits are kept permanently after the wedding, they stay in your wardrobe long after the reception ends.

Finalize the Look Before Leaving the Room

The Inn room is the last convenient customization point before the ceremony. Once you leave, the event moves directly toward the decorated town gazebo, so review the complete appearance first:

  • outfit and its color;
  • headwear, including veils and the top hat;
  • hairstyle;
  • earrings;
  • shoes.

The rest of the day then runs through the ceremony, the vows, the town celebration, the reception, and the return-home sequence. One playthrough reported that finishing the ceremony awards the "I do!" achievement 待确认. Reaching 10 Hearts while dating only satisfies the separate "True Love" milestone, so the ceremony itself is the required final step.

Plan Flowers, Cake, and Meal Before the Wedding

The outfit is the one major choice handled on the wedding day itself. The flower decoration color, the wedding cake flavor, and the reception meal are customized in advance through separate planning conversations with your betrothed. The flower choices were reported as red, white, and yellow 待确认, and one player picked a Mont Blanc cake large enough for the guests without needing to cook or carry it.

Do not leave these conversations to the final day. In the firsthand report, skipping one planning day meant the meal discussion never appeared, and it could not be recovered by repeatedly speaking to the partner on the last evening. The ceremony still proceeded, but the unchosen detail stayed outside the player's control.

The wiki states the earliest possible wedding date is 5 days after the proposal, while the playthrough calendar displayed 10 available dates 待确认. Leave several preparation days between engagement and ceremony, and avoid dates that clash with the Saturday Market, festivals, birthdays, or seasonal deadlines. Every villager also has unique congratulatory lines the first time you speak to them after a successful proposal.

After the Ceremony: Spouses, Furniture, and Children

The outfit is only the beginning of married life in Mistria. Your spouse moves into the farmhouse with an altered daily schedule, and the following day you receive three pieces of their unique furniture in the mail to decorate the shared home. Each spouse has special furniture they interact with differently once it is placed.

Two weeks after the ceremony, a bedtime cutscene lets you and your spouse discuss having children, so family progression is its own optional route. As of version 1.0 there is no divorce mechanic, and it is currently unknown whether one is planned. If you were dating several candidates, finalizing a proposal moves the other relationships toward Best Friend status and triggers breakup letters, so check the related gameplay settings before confirming.

Marriage Candidates Who Share the Ceremony

Any marriage candidate can take part in the wedding, and the outfit scene plays the same way for every route. The current candidates are:

  • Bachelorettes: Celine, Juniper, Reina, Valen, Adeline, Seridia
  • Bachelors: Balor, March, Hayden, Ryis, Eiland, Caldarus

Caldarus's proposal scene reportedly takes the player into the woods and rewards the Dragon-Sworn Statue, a route-specific gift. Since every candidate gives a unique spouse item during the proposal event, some players date the whole cast first and only finalize one proposal. Whichever villager you choose, the free dresses, tuxedos, and accessories will be waiting in The Inn's guest room.
